I'm writing to you today to express our thanks for your
support by your grant last year for our new Smartboard.
Saffron Hall used the grant towards its 'Big Sing' project -
an initiative designed to get large numbers of children and
young people singing together. There is a further aim of the
project which is supporting the provision and quality of music
and singing teaching in schools.
The sessions were all presented by the acclaimed music leader
Dominic Peckham. He established good communication with the
teachers, giving them confidence in their own abilities, as
well as additional skills and ideas to take back to the classroom.
Ultimately, it's clear that this sort of singing project can
have a major impact on young people. We are hugely grateful
for the support of the Charles S French Charitable Trust.
The Smallpeice Trust has received a very generous donation
from The Charles S French Charitable Trust which has enabled
them to support the Girls into Physics Project STEM Physics
Enrichment Days for state schools in London.
Team Up wishes to thank The Charles S French Trust for their
generous donation. We are deeply grateful for your support.
The principal objectives of our programme were to meaningfully
increase the academic attainment, attitudes and aspirations,
as well as improve the life chances of secondary school pupils
from low income backgrounds, using inspirational volunteers
to tutor them in English or maths. As a result, our tutors gain
useful teaching and leadership experience and develop transferable
skills, and our pupils benefit from the direct positive impact
of all this hard work, improving their attitudes and prospects.
